Prime objective of our consultancy services in the operations of Utilities including waste water treatment is to enable the manufacturing sites achieving sustained best in class operational performance through implementing the best practices in the Industry.  

  • Steam system best practices- assist in gap identification with respect to the standards and the best practices, analysis, work out closure actions, and implementation support. The scope covers the following.
    • Steam quality, steam separation
    • BFW quality, BFW make up water quality, BFW treatment
    • Boiler water quality, Boiler water treatment, Boiler blow down
    • Condensate quality,  and  treatment
    • Steam-BFW cycle monitoring standardised methodology
    • Sampling and testing standards/best practices
    • Control of FAC (Flow Accelerated Corrosion)
    • Prevention of contamination ingress
    • Steam-BFW cycle operations management best practices

  • Standardised Energy tactics in Utilities- site specific program development and implementation support
  • Plant performance improvement- assist in identification of site-specific issues, gaps wrt best practices, resolving actions/closures. Operations troubleshooting includes assistance in Root cause analysis, failure investigation, recommending metallurgical tests/analysis, and work out future actions to avoid recurring failures.
  • Operations procedure review- assist in developing procedures /review/update at par with industry best practices. Procedures include plant normal operation, start up, shutdown and operation under credible abnormal scenarios.
  • Learning from incidents- awareness to industry relevant top incidents, assist in site specific threat identification, gap closure actions implementation support. The site triggers zero high risk HSE incident and zero black out policy.

Plant Commissioning Services

  • Commissioning support- assist in procedure set up, pre-commissioning/commissioning check lists, assist site team with specialist at site on request, assist in performance tests interacting with OEM.

Reliability Improvement

Make sure utilities are not the weak link!
  • Reliability improvement program- assist in developing and roll out site specific reliability improvement framework. The areas of the framework include utility systems standard/recommended practices, plant hardware sparing and availability, design and documentation, tools and procedures, master planning, 3P contracts, organization and staff competency.
  • Reliability review and assessment- assist in gap identification, improvement roadmap and implementation support.            

Project Front End Development and Execution support

  • Front end designs/detail engineering of revamps/expansions of Utilities systems- Reviews and technical assurance support in Basis of design/Front end design/detail engineering of utilities systems.

Solar Energy Systems design and operational excellence

  • Design development- Conceptual design, Feasibility study, and detail engineering of complete solar power generation systems.

  • Value assurance, and implementation support of Solar PV systems. Assist in various technologies like C-Si, Cd-Te, A-Si and different module structure mounting systems, Single Axis and Seasonal Tracking Systems.
  • Operational excellence support- Operations reviews, assist in implementation of best practices. Provide support to maintain the PV modules performance at same level for 5 years in-spite of degradation of modules typically 1% per year.
  • Solar hot water systems- Design and operations reviews, value assurance support.

Capability development- Training and coaching

  • Training program- Assist in identification of site-specific training needs, development and rollout of the training program.
  • Delivery of training- Customisation will be necessary based on the site-specific applicable assets and training needs of the staff. The scope in the subject topics includes technology basics, best practices, standards, O&M key aspects, case studies and lessons learned in the industry.
